The following story contains spoilers about Episode 9 of Bloodline‘s just-released third and final season — proceed at your own peril.

Bloodline took a quite a detour before it crossed the finish line.

In the penultimate episode of the Netflix drama’s final season, which dropped on Friday, viewers were given a ringside seat to an extended, presumably near-death hallucination of John’s (Kyle Chandler). The hour-long journey through the far reaches of the eldest Rayburn sibling’s psyche marked the posthumous return of Ben Mendelsohn’s black sheep Danny, who forced his brother to finally face the consequences of his actions (namely, »

Summer TV Calendar: 90+ Premiere and Finale Dates to Save for June/July

Just when you thought it was time to brave the outdoors… your DVR is poised to drag you back in, filling up with loads of fresh summertime TV fare.

When do the Orange Is the New Black inmates resume their sentences? When does Orphan Black‘s end begin? When does CBS’ Zoo open back up? At what point is The Leftovers simply over? When will Mary’s Reign end? When will daring Killjoys, Shadowhunters and Ninja Warriors again fill your screen?

By popular demand and as hand-curated by a jury of exactly one, TVLine presents this handy calendar of June premieres and finales, as well as a tinted box jam-packed with select July dates-to-save. (And who’s to say what else August might have in store besides Ray Donovan, The Last Ship and Marvel’s Defenders! Sounds like a separate calendar, someday.) Click to zoom, and save the dates:

Preemptive P.S. My calendar-making skills have never been infallible — it’s more of a hobby, really —  so if you spot something that is (theoretically) missing, drop a polite note in Comments and I just might include it in an update.

Performer of the Week: Ewan McGregor

The Performer | Ewan McGregor

The Show | Fargo

The Episode | “The Lord of No Mercy” (May 24, 2017)

The Performance | Oh, brother. All season long on Fargo, McGregor has been pulling double duty as feuding Minnesota brothers Ray and Emmit Stussy. But in this week’s riveting potboiler of an episode, that duet tragically became a solo act.

Like Tatiana Maslany on Orphan Black, McGregor has so skillfully differentiated his two characters here — Emmit is the polite, genial big-business tycoon; Ray is the scruffy, embittered black sheep — that it’s easy to forget they’re played by the same actor. This week, McGregor »
